The IIK also offers shorter summer programs, additional training courses (to improve grammar, for example) and special preparation for exams (TestDaF, DSH). Some courses focus on business German, others on culture and society. The IIK is also a centre for teacher training. Several times a year teachers from all over the world come to Düsseldorf to improve their competence in teaching German. Other training courses for international professionals focus on communication and special intercultural skills. Moreover, the IIK is responsible for "Düsseldorf Summer University" also comprising courses in sciences, medicine, history, and the arts. Besides German, we teach other languages - Dutch, for example, and, of course, English. As an official TOEFL and TOEIC test centre, we organise both exams here in Düsseldorf. |
